LAFAYETTE, CA (June 2005) — Marc Win, Chief Executive Officer, has named Richard Bowers to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Operations.

Mr. Bowers graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1970. He began his insurance career as a multi-line P&C underwriter with Aetna Casualty & Surety in 1971. Four years later he became a P&C broker with Albert M. Bender & Company and managed their MGU operations until 1981.

For the next four years he provided independent consulting services to brokers and insurance companies and developed specialty coverage forms and rating plans, systems & procedures, and policies & practices. For the last 20 years Mr. Bowers has specialized in the development, administration, and promotion of specialty insurance programs for affinity and association-sponsored groups, which were distributed through retail and wholesale broker networks.
